• Role & Company / Project Overview Extend Infosys is hiring an experienced GCP Data Engineer for a long-term contract role based in Phoenix, Arizona on a hybrid schedule (local to AZ only). The candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design and develop scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on GCP - Develop data solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub - Build and optimize batch and real-time data processing pipelines - Develop complex SQL and Python code for data transformation and processing - Perform data integration from databases, APIs, files, and other enterprise data sources - Design data models and implement data quality, validation, and governance processes - Optimize BigQuery queries, data pipelines, and cloud resources for performance and cost - Implement monitoring, logging, error handling, and production support for data pipelines - Collaborate with data architects, analysts, application teams, and DevOps engineers - Participate in CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and Agile/Scrum development activities • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 6 to 8 years of dedicated experience in Data Engineering - Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Proven experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub - Strong SQL and Python programming skills - Experience with ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and data modeling - Knowledge of Apache Spark and distributed data processing - Experience with Airflow / Cloud Composer is a plus - Knowledge of Docker, Git, CI/CD, and cloud security - Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Phoenix, Arizona, United States (Hybrid schedule, strictly local to AZ candidates) - Position Type / Engagement: Long Term Contract (C2C) • Compensation & Benefits - Contract compensation aligned with standard C2C / contract market rates • Application Instructions - Qualified professionals are requested to share their updated profiles via email for review
