• Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer – Digital Assets for client BNY to build secure backend infrastructure for an institutional digital asset custody platform. This role focuses on secure wallet infrastructure, blockchain integrations, cryptographic framework implementation, and resilient backend services. The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering experience using Rust, Go, or C/C++, combined with knowledge of blockchain technology, digital asset custody, and secure application development. This is a hands-on software engineering role focused on implementing secure systems using established cryptographic frameworks, working closely with cryptography specialists. Contract duration is 12 Months with strong potential for full-time conversion. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Develop secure backend services for digital asset custody and transaction processing. - Implement and integrate secure wallet infrastructure and blockchain connectivity. - Apply secure coding practices, threat modeling, and cryptographic frameworks. - Build secure communication mechanisms between distributed systems. - Collaborate with cryptographers and engineering teams to implement security-sensitive solutions. - Improve the reliability, scalability, and security of digital asset infrastructure. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - 7+ years of backend software engineering experience. - 4+ years of strong programming experience in Rust (preferred), Go, or C/C++. - Experience building secure, production-grade backend applications. - Strong understanding of secure coding practices and threat modeling. - Knowledge of blockchain technology and digital assets. - Experience with cryptographic libraries such as OpenSSL or equivalent. - Understanding of digital wallets, blockchain transactions, and transaction flows. - Experience building reliable backend services and secure system integrations. - Target Candidate Backgrounds: Candidates with experience at Digital Asset Infrastructure companies (Coinbase, Fireblocks, Anchorage, BitGo), Financial Services (JPMorgan, Citi, DTCC, BNY, Fidelity Digital Assets, Robinhood), blockchain startups specializing in wallet infrastructure, custody, tokenization, or secure blockchain applications, or enterprise security engineering teams building secure backend platforms. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: New York, NY (Hybrid/Onsite) - Work Arrangement: 4 Days Onsite for candidates working from designated locations - Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM • Application Instructions: Interested candidates please share your updated resume, current location, work authorization, and availability.
