Role & Company / Project Overview: Rectifier Technologies is an established specialist in power conversion and power electronics with operations in Melbourne, Johor, and Singapore since 1992. The company is actively innovating in fields including EV Charging, Energy Storage, Bidirectional Power Conversion (V2G), and Data Centre Power Infrastructure (supporting AI workloads from grid to chip). Rectifier Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to drive engineering excellence at its Melbourne Headquarters & R&D facility. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and contribute to the research, design, and development of power conversion solutions and power electronic architectures. • Drive technical innovation in bidirectional power conversion (V2G), high-density data center power systems, and energy storage converters. • Mentor graduate engineers and collaborate across multidisciplinary and cross-border teams. • Engage with strategic partners, lighthouse customers, and technical teams to address emerging application challenges and advance product roadmaps. • Oversee prototyping, hardware testing, validation, and design optimization. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. • Significant professional experience as a Power Electronics Engineer. • Deep expertise in power converter topologies, magnetics design, circuit simulation, and control systems. • Strong problem-solving skills and proven track record of bringing power conversion technologies to real-world applications.
