Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview We are hiring an experienced Mine Planning Engineer to join mining projects across Africa, supporting Gold and Copper operations in Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Zambia. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Develop short-term, medium-term, and strategic mine development plans. • Execute mine design, pit optimization, scheduling, and sequencing for large-scale operations. • Provide technical services support to operational mine execution teams. • Ensure mine planning aligns with resource models, production targets, and safety standards. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Strong technical background and proven experience in mine planning and strategic mine development. • Hands-on experience in open-pit or underground mining operations, preferably in Gold or Copper commodities. • Proficiency with standard mine planning software and technical operational planning. • Strong problem-solving, planning, and technical execution capabilities. • Experience with international operations or greenfield projects is strongly encouraged. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Project sites in Africa (Mauritania, DRC, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Zambia). • Work arrangement: Full-time onsite project deployment.
