• Role & Company / Project Overview Apex Systems is hiring a Software Development Engineer II – Backend Developer for a 1-year contract role based in London, UK. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, build, and maintain highly scalable distributed backend systems. - Implement cloud services and manage infrastructure components on AWS. - Build efficient backend services and APIs using modern languages. - Utilize Linux/UNIX command-line tools and shell scripting for system-level operations and automation. - Apply strong software engineering practices, testing, and problem-solving methodologies to support distributed architectures. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, and TypeScript. - Hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as EC2, NLB (Network Load Balancer), ElastiCache, Lambda, and DynamoDB. - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, HTTP/TLS, and Load balancing. - Good Linux/UNIX proficiency, including command-line tools and shell scripting. - Proven experience designing and building distributed systems. - Strong problem-solving and software engineering skills. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: London, England, United Kingdom. - Employment duration: 1-year contract. • Compensation & Benefits - Contract-based engagement. • Application Instructions - Share your CV and get in touch with the recruitment team via email or phone/WhatsApp.
