Role & Company / Project Overview Urgent hiring for a Java Developer position located in Seattle, WA. This is a full-time contract role requiring local candidates. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Develop, maintain, and enhance robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. • Design and implement distributed systems and RESTful APIs. • Work with event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka. • Implement test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) workflows, authoring tests using JUnit and Cucumber-JVM. • Integrate and manage NoSQL databases including MongoDB and DynamoDB. • Containerize applications and manage deployments across Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure cloud infrastructure. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework / Spring Boot. • Demonstrated experience with Distributed Systems, REST APIs, and Kafka (Event-Driven Architecture). • Hands-on testing expertise with JUnit, TDD, BDD, and Cucumber-JVM. • Database experience with MongoDB and DynamoDB. • Containerization and cloud tools: Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure. • Familiarity with GraphQL, JWT, OAuth2, and working within Mac OS environments. • Candidates must have confirmed visa status and provide their current residing state.
