Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview We are currently looking for an experienced Packaging Engineer to join a leading Consumer Goods / FMCG organization located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Provide comprehensive engineering support for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging systems • Evaluate packaging equipment performance and drive productivity and efficiency improvements across lines • Support packaging line modifications, equipment installations, and capacity expansions • Develop and review equipment specifications, User Requirement Specifications (URS) documents, and technical bid evaluations • Coordinate packaging line layouts and equipment integration • Support packaging material and format changeovers • Work directly with OEMs and equipment vendors throughout design, installation, and startup phases • Review utility requirements, line balancing, and machine interfaces • Support commissioning, validation, and performance qualification • Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, ergonomic, and manufacturing standards Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 7–10 years of packaging engineering experience • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Packaging, or Industrial Engineering • Strong experience with filling, capping, labeling, cartoning, case packing, and palletizing systems • Expertise in packaging machinery selection and integration • Proficiency with AutoCAD and packaging line layout development • Proven experience collaborating with packaging equipment OEMs • Thorough knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and packaging quality requirements • Strong project coordination and communication skills • Industry experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Cosmetics, Personal Care, or Packaging Manufacturing • Preferred Experience: - Brownfield facility modifications - Food & Beverage or Pharmaceutical/GMP manufacturing environments - Packaging automation systems - High-speed filling and packaging lines - Capacity expansion and line optimization - Prior Unilever experience Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Jonesboro, Arkansas, United States • Work Setting: Onsite manufacturing plant Application Instructions • Interested candidates can apply by sending an updated resume via email.
