Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring an experienced L3 System Engineer to support enterprise server, virtualisation, storage, backup, and compute infrastructure for a leading IT services and technology solutions provider in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Provide L3 technical support for complex infrastructure incidents and system issues. • Administer and troubleshoot VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtualisation environments. • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco UCS infrastructure, including servers and Fabric Interconnects. • Support NetApp storage systems, including storage provisioning, capacity management, and performance troubleshooting. • Administer and troubleshoot backup solutions such as Veritas NetBackup and/or Veeam Backup & Replication. • Perform server patching, upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and disaster recovery activities. • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions. • Collaborate with network, security, application, and vendor teams to ensure infrastructure stability. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. • 5–8+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or system engineering. • Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualisation technologies. • Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS and solid working knowledge of NetApp storage systems. • Experience with Veritas NetBackup and/or Veeam Backup & Replication. • Knowledge of Windows Server administration, infrastructure patching, and disaster recovery procedures. • Strong L3 troubleshooting, incident management, and analytical problem-solving skills. • Comfortable with on-call support and planned after-hours maintenance when required. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Onsite location: Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia. • Employment type: 1-Year Contract (Renewable Annually). • Shift / Availability: Requires on-call support and planned after-hours maintenance.
