Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Compute & Platform Recovery Sr. Staff Engineer to design and validate recovery solutions for critical enterprise and manufacturing systems. This role is an initial 6-month contract (extendable based on business requirements) suited for an experienced infrastructure engineer with deep expertise in compute resilience, virtualization, and enterprise disaster recovery. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design multi-site compute failover and recovery architectures. - Drive dual-data-centre compute resilience initiatives. - Develop enterprise virtualization and hypervisor recovery strategies. - Define recovery approaches for high-performance computing (HPC) environments. - Design and execute failover tests against defined recovery objectives. - Establish compute resilience standards and reference architectures. - Provide technical direction to compute and data center engineering teams. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Typically 10–15+ years in infrastructure engineering, enterprise compute, or virtualization. - Proven hands-on experience designing and executing multi-site compute failover. - Strong expertise in clustering, hypervisor high availability, and compute recovery. - Experience in disaster recovery testing and validating recovery objectives. - Knowledge of at least one adjacent domain: storage, networking, or cloud infrastructure. - Semiconductor or continuous-operations manufacturing experience is an advantage. - Eligibility: Malaysian citizens only. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Penang, Malaysia. - Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2–3 Days Onsite per week. • Compensation & Benefits - Contract engagement: 6 Months (Extendable based on business requirements). • Application Instructions - Please submit your updated CV or message via direct message to apply.
