Role & Company / Project Overview: Texplorers Inc is hiring a Senior Data Modeler to join our growing Data Delivery Team and help build the future of Data Solutions. In this role, you will support the design and delivery of enterprise data models across core business domains including Finance, Sales, Retail, Supply Chain, Product, Customer, and Digital Commerce. You will collaborate closely with Data Architects, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, BI developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data structures are consistent, scalable, and governed. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Data Modeling: Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Design entities, attributes, relationships, hierarchies, keys, and cardinalities. Develop dimensional models including facts, dimensions, bridge tables, slowly changing dimensions, and aggregation structures. Define and document business entities such as Customer, Product, Store, Order, Transaction, Supplier, Account, and related core business concepts. • Semantic and Analytical Modeling: Design models optimized for analytics, reporting, and BI consumption. Define business metrics, measures, dimensions, hierarchies, and calculation logic. Support semantic layer design for platforms such as Power BI, Databricks SQL, Databricks Metric Views, or similar tools. Ensure consistent business definitions for KPIs and analytical measures. Collaborate with BI teams to guarantee models are usable and performant. • Source-to-Target Mapping: Analyze source system structures and map them to target data models. Identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplicate structures, and data quality issues across source systems. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 10-12 years of relevant experience. • Strong background in enterprise data modeling, dimensional modeling, lakehouse or data warehouse environments, and modern analytics platforms (Databricks or similar). • Deep knowledge of data modeling methodologies across conceptual, logical, physical, and dimensional models. • Strong SQL skills. • In-depth understanding of database and lakehouse concepts: tables, views, keys, constraints, partitioning, clustering, delta tables, and schema evolution. • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, ideally Databricks. • Clear understanding of BI and semantic modeling concepts, including semantic layers, metrics layers, Databricks SQL, and Power BI.
