### Role & Company / Project Overview Marlow Navigation POLAND is hiring an experienced 2nd Engineer (2/E) to join the vessel ORAKAI (Oil & Chemical Tanker) starting on 10 December. The vessel details include: • Vessel Type: Oil & Chemical Tanker • Year Built: 2008 • Main Engine: MAK 8M25 • Engine Power: 2,640 kW • Engine Department Composition: C/E, 2/E, WPR • Trading Area: Gibraltar - Cadiz ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Oversee and manage the daily operations, maintenance, and repairs in the engine department as 2nd Engineer. • Operate and maintain MAK 8M25 main engine and related auxiliary machinery safely and efficiently. • Work closely with the Chief Engineer (C/E) and wiper (WPR) to ensure vessel safety, environmental compliance, and smooth voyage operations. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Minimum 18 months of rank experience as a 2nd Engineer. • Previous sea-going experience on Chemical Tankers. • Direct experience with MAK engines (specifically MAK 8M25 preferred). • Valid STCW and flag state certifications. • Good command of the English language. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Contract Length: 3-4 months • Joining Date: 10 December • Trading Area: Gibraltar - Cadiz • Vessel: ORAKAI ### Compensation & Benefits • Salary: USD 10,500 per month (on board only) ### Application Instructions • Submit your application via the official recruitment portal or apply via email with the subject line '2ENG for ORAKAI'.
