Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview: Diverse Ltd is seeking an exceptional Networking Junior Resident Engineer to join its growing organization and contribute to the next phase of expansion. The engineer will work under supervision to manage day-to-day network monitoring, incident triage, and operational maintenance for customer environments. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Monitor network health dashboards and generate daily operational reports. • Handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 incidents including firewall log analysis and network connectivity issues. • Perform pre-approved firewall rule additions and modifications. • Coordinate directly with the customer IT team for scheduled maintenance windows. • Escalate critical issues and routing anomalies to the senior resident engineer. • Maintain up-to-date network documentation, operational runbooks, and ticket logs under CAB change management processes. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 1 to 3 years of professional experience in network operations or IT support. • Nationality Requirement: Egyptian only. • Cisco Firewall (ASA / FTD): Basic rule review, log monitoring, assisting with access-list changes under supervision, and generating standard ASDM / FMC reports. • Palo Alto Firewall: Security policy review via Panorama, basic App-ID and URL filtering monitoring, and log forwarding configuration support. • Cisco Routers & Switches: Familiarity with Cisco IOS fundamentals, IOS-based troubleshooting (ping, traceroute, show commands), VLAN, STP, basic routing (awareness of OSPF and BGP), interface monitoring, and port provisioning. • SD-WAN: Monitoring dashboard health, tracking link utilization, escalating routing anomalies, and assisting with template deployments. • General Tooling: Hands-on experience with ticket handling, incident documentation, and network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or similar. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location in Egypt. Coordinates with client teams during scheduled maintenance windows.
