Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: M1 Construction is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to support the supervision of structural works on building projects in Dubai, UAE. The role operates under head office supervision. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Report to the Resident Engineer and help supervise all structural works on site. • Coordinate closely with other engineers and the supervision team. • Review shop drawings, design proposals, and method statements. • Work with design engineers to resolve technical issues. • Keep the daily diary and inspectors' daily reports up to date. • Guide and monitor the work of site inspectors and surveyors. • Lead meetings with authorities, the contractor, subcontractors, and other parties. • Make sure safety targets are met and safety procedures are followed on site. • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. • Check that as-built drawings are accurate and complete. • Manage the handover of structural works to the authorities and support final clearance. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. • 8+ years of experience in structural design and construction, mainly on building projects. • At least 5 years of construction experience in the UAE. • Solid knowledge and strong grasp of local authority standards and regulations. • Confident with CAD, Revit, and structural modelling, analysis, and design software. • Good command of English.
