Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview Vergil Remnant is hiring an experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to support and manage a large-scale SAP S/4HANA enterprise landscape in a mission-critical SAP Managed Services environment. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Manage end-to-end SAP Basis administration, system monitoring, high availability, and performance tuning. - Handle SAP kernel upgrades, SPS/support package upgrades, and complete SAP version upgrades. - Administer SAP HANA databases, transport management, RFC connections, user master records, roles, and authorizations. - Monitor system dumps, background batch jobs, application workloads, and diagnose performance bottlenecks. - Support SAP security patching, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory compliance audits. - Coordinate backup/restore validation exercises, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Disaster Recovery (DR) drills. - Support SAP S/4HANA, Fiori/UI5 infrastructure, Solution Manager, and cloud migration activities. - Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents and provide 24x7 on-call support for P1 production incidents. - Maintain comprehensive audit-ready documentation and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional SAP technical and functional teams. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 10+ years of hands-on, professional SAP Basis administration experience. - Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA production support, preferably with S/4HANA 2023 or later releases. - In-depth expertise in SAP HANA administration, kernel upgrades, and SPS updates. - Proven experience in transport management system (TMS), client administration, RFCs, and user authorization management. - Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager and SAP Fiori/UI5 infrastructure. - Hands-on exposure to SAP security, Segregation of Duties (SoD), JSOX, software license audits, and compliance documentation. - Experience working in 24x7 AMS / managed services environments following ITIL-based incident and change management frameworks. - Knowledge of BCP/DR validation, backup/restore procedures, and SAP cloud migration is considered an advantage. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Work Mode: Hybrid. - Location: Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. - Opportunity Type: Contract-to-Hire (C2H). - Shift Details: Includes 24x7 on-call support availability for P1 incidents. • Application Instructions - Interested candidates are invited to submit their updated resume to the contact email provided in the posting.
