Role & Company / Project Overview: A leading international electronics manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Failure Analysis Director to lead its Failure Analysis and advanced laboratory functions in Thailand. We are seeking a strong technical leader with extensive expertise in physical, electrical, and materials failure analysis, combined with advanced analytical laboratory knowledge and proven engineering leadership. This role requires someone who can act as a senior technical authority, lead complex failure investigations, and develop high-performing technical teams. International and Thai candidates are both welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead the Failure Analysis and advanced laboratory functions across technical operations. • Act as a senior technical authority on failure analysis and engineering investigations. • Lead complex failure investigations into manufacturing defects, field failures, customer returns, and reliability-related issues. • Drive robust root cause analysis and develop effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). • Manage Failure Analysis laboratories, engineering teams, and technical organizations, guiding technical specialists and fostering team capabilities. • Interface directly with customers and senior stakeholders to communicate technical findings and resolution strategies. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 15+ years of relevant experience in Failure Analysis, preferably within EMS, PCB/PCBA, semiconductor, electronic components, or complex electronics manufacturing. • Strong technical expertise in physical, electrical, and materials failure analysis. • Extensive experience with advanced FA laboratory techniques, including SEM/EDS, FTIR, XRF, C-SAM, X-Ray/CT, Ion Chromatography, cross-sectioning, Dye & Pry, component decapsulation, and strain testing. • Deep understanding of electronics failure mechanisms such as EOS/ESD, solder joint cracking, corrosion, Black Pad, Head-in-Pillow, delamination, mechanical stress, contamination, and thermal fatigue. • Strong knowledge of Reliability Engineering, including accelerated life testing, environmental stress testing, product qualification, reliability prediction, and design verification. • Proven engineering leadership experience managing technical organizations or FA laboratories. • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills with excellent written and spoken English proficiency. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand. • Work arrangement: Onsite laboratory & manufacturing leadership.
