Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview: Excel Group of Companies is expanding its Quality Control team in the United Arab Emirates and inviting applications from skilled and motivated QC Inspectors. The role supports quality inspection activities across diverse manufacturing divisions, including Scaffolding, Formwork, Tube Mill, Steel Structures, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE). The primary focus is ensuring that products strictly comply with customer requirements, approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable quality standards. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Perform incoming material inspections, including verification and review of Material Test Certificates (MTCs). - Verify materials against approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards. - Conduct dimensional inspections, fit-up inspections, welding inspections, and final inspections. - Demonstrate working knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT). - Read, interpret, and understand engineering and fabrication drawings. - Review inspection reports and maintain proper QA/QC documentation and records. - Ensure compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications, and ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements. - Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Design, Projects, Procurement, Stores, Maintenance, and other departments. - Liaise effectively with clients, third-party inspectors, and internal stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with company quality procedures, HSE requirements, and applicable manufacturing standards. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience in steel manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial inspection (fresher/junior level eligible). - Certification: NDT Level II certification is mandatory. - Preferred Industry: Scaffolding / Fabrication / Structural Steel. - Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of fabrication drawings, welding processes, WPS, PQR, and WQT; understanding of material inspection, MTC verification, dimensional inspection, and welding inspection. - Standards & Systems: Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and HSE practices; basic knowledge of ERP systems and CAD drawings. - Soft Skills: Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: Ajman, United Arab Emirates (UAE). - Work setup: Full-time industrial plant/manufacturing facility environment. • Compensation & Benefits: - Standard company benefits and competitive remuneration based on experience and company policy (not specified). • Application Instructions: - Send updated CV with subject line "QC Inspector – [Your Name]" to the designated quality department recruitment email address.
