Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview: SRIT Group is seeking an experienced Senior Security Operations Engineer (SIEM/SOAR) in the United Arab Emirates to manage, automate, and enhance cybersecurity detection and incident response operations. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Design, configure, deploy, and maintain SIEM platforms, specifically IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel. - Author and optimize detection queries, custom rules, and log parsers utilizing KQL and AQL. - Oversee end-to-end log management, data ingestion, filtering, and security event correlation. - Design, develop, and implement automated SOAR playbooks to accelerate incident triage and remediation workflows. - Apply the MITRE ATT&CK framework to map detection coverage, identify security gaps, and enhance monitoring posture. - Support cloud security operations across Azure, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Microsoft Entra ID. - Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and/or Python to streamline security operations. - Assist with SIEM migration initiatives, specifically transitioning from IBM QRadar to Microsoft Sentinel. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - 5 to 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or SIEM engineering. - Hands-on, deep expertise in both IBM QRadar and Microsoft Sentinel. - Strong proficiency in KQL (Kusto Query Language), AQL (Ariel Query Language), log management, and detection engineering. - Proven experience in building SOAR playbooks and security orchestration automation. - Solid working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework, Azure, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Microsoft Entra ID. - Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python. - Experience in banking or financial services sectors is highly desirable. - Hands-on experience with QRadar-to-Sentinel migration is highly desirable. - Availability: Maximum notice period of 15 days. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: United Arab Emirates (UAE). • Compensation & Benefits: - Not specified. • Application Instructions: Interested candidates can forward their updated CV to the provided recruitment email address.
