• Role & Company / Project Overview ITOrizon is hiring a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join their Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity designed for experienced database professionals to manage, optimize, and secure mission-critical cloud databases. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based PostgreSQL clusters. - Ensure database availability, scalability, replication, and disaster recovery (DR). - Monitor database performance and resolve complex production issues. - Implement automation, monitoring, and alerting solutions. - Collaborate with SRE, development, and product teams. - Mentor junior DBAs and enforce database security best practices. - Execute production support and conduct root cause analysis. - Manage database patching, security updates, and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 7+ years of total experience in database administration. - Strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration. - Proven experience with Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL. - Demonstrated experience managing Cassandra clusters. - Expertise in multi-master PostgreSQL deployments across AWS and Azure environments. - Proficient in database clustering, replication, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR). - In-depth knowledge of database performance tuning, SQL query optimization, and indexing. - Hands-on expertise using Terraform or Ansible for database automation. - Experience with monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor. - Preferred Certifications: PostgreSQL Certification, AWS Database Specialty, Azure Database Administrator, or SRE/DevOps Certifications. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India (Preferred). - Work Mode: Work From Office (5 days a week). - Employment Type: Contract to Hire. • Application Instructions Interested candidates should submit their updated CV along with their Full Name, Total Experience, Relevant Experience, Current CTC, Expected CTC, Notice Period / Last Working Day, Current and Preferred Location, Current Company and Designation, and Offer Status & Availability for a face-to-face interview.
