• Role & Company / Project Overview Sea Prince | Dushmantha Liyanage (Pvt) Ltd, a leading provider of premium-quality canned fish products committed to sustainability, quality, and customer satisfaction, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Assistant to join the team in the canned fish production industry. The role contributes directly to maintaining the highest standards of food safety, product quality, and consistency across canned fish manufacturing operations. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Conduct in-process quality checks and finished product inspections. - Evaluate incoming fish for freshness, quality, and sensory characteristics. - Monitor fish handling, cold storage temperatures, and cold chain practices. - Inspect processing operations, including washing, pre-cooking, and can filling. - Perform routine checks on salt concentration, pH, oil/brine quality, and product weight. - Monitor can sealing integrity and retort processing parameters. - Ensure proper sanitation, personal hygiene, and workplace cleanliness. - Maintain quality records, report non-conformities, and support corrective actions. - Ensure compliance with food safety procedures and company quality standards. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - A Diploma or Degree in Food Science & Technology, Quality Assurance, Science, or a related field will be an added advantage. - Basic knowledge of food safety systems, including HACCP, GMP, and SSOP. - Basic knowledge of food quality inspection and hygiene practices. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel. - Good communication skills in Sinhala and English. - Ability to work effectively in a team, follow instructions, and work in a production environment. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Position is based onsite within the canned fish manufacturing/production facility in Sri Lanka. • Compensation & Benefits - Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience. • Application Instructions - Qualified candidates should submit their CV and cover letter via the provided contact channels.
