Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview We are looking for a Senior Platform Systems Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity (W2) with our direct client. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, integrate, validate, and troubleshoot AI/GPU & database infrastructure platforms. - Work across compute, storage, networking, firmware, power, thermal, and datacenter infrastructure. - Troubleshoot complex Linux/OS, hardware, firmware, networking, storage, power, and thermal issues. - Develop automation and diagnostic tools using Python, Bash, and/or C. - Validate BIOS, BMC/iDRAC, firmware, and system configurations. - Support rack-level power, PDUs, cabling, grounding, and power distribution. - Work with ODM/OEM vendors, manufacturing, and engineering teams. - Support high-density AI/GPU systems, including air- and liquid-cooled platforms. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 8+ years of relevant experience. - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience. - Key Skills: Linux | Python | Bash | C | BIOS | BMC/iDRAC | Firmware | Ethernet | InfiniBand | NVMe | RAID | Distributed Storage | Power & Thermal | Datacenter Infrastructure | Manufacturing Integration | System Validation. - Preferred Qualifications: * AI/GPU or high-density compute infrastructure * Three-phase datacenter power and N, N+1, 2N redundancy * Liquid cooling and thermal characterization * ODM/OEM and manufacturing experience * Regulatory, EMC, and safety requirements • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: San Diego, CA – Onsite - Employment Type: W2 - Duration: Long-term contract • Application Instructions - Interested candidates should send their updated resume along with current location, work authorization, expected hourly rate, and availability/start date.
