Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring a Security Engineer to design, deploy, and monitor cybersecurity protections across major Federal technology programs in the Reston, Virginia / Washington, D.C. area, safeguarding critical public sector cloud and software infrastructure. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design, configure, and maintain technical security controls across cloud, network, and application environments. • Perform vulnerability scans, threat modeling, security assessments, and incident response investigations. • Implement identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and monitoring tools. • Ensure engineering implementations comply with federal cybersecurity standards and defense-in-depth methodologies. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Proven experience in security engineering, network security, or cloud cybersecurity operations. • Knowledge of federal security standards, threat mitigation, and automated security tools. • Mandatory Requirement: U.S. Citizenship. • Work Experience: Federal technology program experience is highly valued.
