Role & Company / Project Overview: Opportunity with our client for a Senior Firmware Engineer – PCIe / Embedded Systems based onsite in North Carolina (Raleigh/Durham/Morrisville/Cary area). The role focuses on supporting the migration from Broadcom Atlas 2 to Atlas 3 PCIe switch technology, with strong emphasis on C/C++, Embedded Linux, PCIe architecture, and server platform firmware. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Support migration from Broadcom Atlas 2 to Atlas 3 PCIe switch technology. • Handle hardware-software integration and low-level system debugging. • Implement and maintain DMA routing, GPU-to-GPU communication, and interoperability. • Execute board bring-up and server platform validation. • Develop and debug firmware across PCIe switches, PCIe architecture, and server platforms. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 10+ years of Firmware and Embedded Systems experience. • Strong hands-on proficiency in C/C++ and Embedded Linux. • In-depth expertise in PCIe switches and PCIe architecture. • Solid background in hardware-software integration and low-level debugging. • Demonstrated experience with DMA routing, GPU-to-GPU communication, and interoperability. • Experience with board bring-up and platform validation. • Broadcom Atlas/PEX experience is preferred. • Experience with UEFI, BMC/XClarity, Redfish, CXL, and GPU/HPC platforms is a plus.
