Role & Company / Project Overview: We are looking for an experienced Process Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract opportunity in Plano, Texas. The role requires a strong background in automation, robotics, and regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., medical devices, pharma). Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Develop and optimize automated manufacturing, assembly, testing, and inspection processes. • Create automated test scripts and work with firmware. • Work hands-on with robotic arms, PLCs, sensors, machine vision, and automated equipment. • Integrate automation systems and troubleshoot manufacturing processes. • Execute equipment commissioning, process validation, and production ramp-up. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Strong coding and software/controls skills. • Hands-on experience with robotics and robotic arms. • Proven experience developing automated test scripts. • Knowledge of firmware and automated testing. • Background in mechanical engineering, industrial automation, or manufacturing engineering. • Experience with electromechanical products and automated assembly/testing. • Preferred industry experience: Medical Devices / Pharma / Regulated Manufacturing.
