Role & Company / Project Overview Global IT Con LLC is hiring an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Embedded C/C++, RTOS, and Yocto/Embedded Linux for an onsite contract opportunity. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Develop and debug embedded software solutions working close to hardware. • Utilize RTOS concepts including scheduling, synchronization, interrupts, and startup code. • Work directly with MCU peripherals, datasheets, reference manuals, and linker scripts. • Implement and support communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and CAN. • Integrate and work with IP networking protocols. • Build and configure Embedded Linux systems using Yocto. • Develop Python scripts for automation and interface with CI/CD workflows. • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and debugging using JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers to resolve complex embedded issues. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • 7+ years of overall experience, with 4–6 years of hands-on Embedded Software Development. • Strong C programming skills and working proficiency in C++. • Strong experience with RTOS / bare-metal development. • Hands-on experience with Zephyr, FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or similar RTOS platforms. • Solid knowledge of scheduling, synchronization, interrupts, and core RTOS concepts. • In-depth understanding of MCU peripherals, datasheets, reference manuals, linker scripts, and startup code. • Experience with Embedded Linux and Yocto. • Familiarity with IP networking protocols. • Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and CAN. • Python scripting and automation experience. • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows. • Robust debugging skills using JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers. • Comfort working close to hardware and troubleshooting complex embedded systems issues.
