Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring an experienced Data Networking Implementation and Maintenance Engineer (Data Networking Engineer) to join our team in O’Fallon, Missouri, USA. The position entails high-level engineering support with hands-on expertise in network infrastructure, troubleshooting, and resilient network architectures. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Implement, maintain, and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 data networking infrastructure. • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize TCP/IP, network routing, VLANs, and NAT configurations. • Perform deep packet analysis, network troubleshooting, and traffic monitoring using Wireshark and tcpdump in Linux networking environments. • Implement and maintain high availability network architectures, failover mechanisms, and active-active network environments. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Strong hands-on expertise in Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, TCP/IP, Routing, VLANs, and NAT. • Solid background in Linux networking and advanced network troubleshooting. • Proficient in packet analysis tools including Wireshark and tcpdump. • Deep understanding of High Availability, Failover, and Active-Active Networking design. • Preferred Technical Skills: Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, F5, HAProxy, NGINX, Envoy, and eBPF.
