Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview We are hiring a Senior Engineer – Utilities & Mechanical for the Food, FMCG & Edible Oil Industry at AVY Technologies in Mumbai, India. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Review engineering designs, technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and documentation for industrial utility and mechanical systems. - Support the design and selection of water and wastewater treatment systems, fire protection systems, ammonia refrigeration plants, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air systems, steam systems, HVAC, piping, pumps, and material handling systems. - Develop and review design basis documents, P&IDs, layouts, technical specifications, and equipment datasheets. - Identify energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions, including heat recovery, combined heat and power, and waste reduction technologies. - Conduct cost estimation, system benchmarking, and cost optimization for capital projects. - Develop and update global engineering standards in accordance with applicable international codes and regulations. - Review 3D models and vendor documents, and support vendor selection, RFQs, bid evaluations, and technical approvals. - Coordinate with project teams, factory operations, suppliers, and engineering partners to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient project execution. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. - Experience: 7–10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering and industrial utilities within the Food, FMCG, or Edible Oil industry. - At least 3–5 years of experience in a Global Engineering function involving engineering design and cost estimation. - Experience with large-scale greenfield and brownfield capital projects, plant expansions, and utility package selection. - Strong knowledge of industrial utilities and process technologies, including refinery, crushing, and extraction processes. - Experience with water and wastewater treatment, fire protection, ammonia refrigeration, steam systems, compressed air, HVAC, piping, pumps, and conveying systems. - Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, AutoPIPE, Pipe Flow Expert, PV Elite, CAESAR II, or similar engineering design tools. - Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and food industry hygiene standards. - Understanding of international engineering codes and standards, particularly European and North American standards. - Strong analytical, project management, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Added Advantage: Proficiency in US and European engineering codes. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Mumbai, India. • Compensation & Benefits - Salary: Up to ₹1,00,000 per month. • Application Instructions - Interested candidates can share their updated resumes via email with the subject line 'Senior Engineer – Utilities & Mechanical – Mumbai'.
