Role & Company / Project Overview: Golden Hire is seeking an accomplished Mechanical Design Manager – Data Center based in Mumbai to lead and own the mechanical design function for hyperscale and colocation campuses. The position involves designing critical cooling, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to achieve Tier III and Tier IV reliability and exceptional energy efficiency while managing a high-performing engineering team. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Own and direct the end-to-end mechanical design function for mission-critical hyperscale and colocation data center campuses. • Lead, mentor, and guide a strong engineering team in delivering robust mechanical, cooling, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. • Deliver high-reliability designs meeting Tier III and Tier IV standards with optimal energy efficiency. • Oversee design calculations, modeling, and detailed engineering for large-scale chilled water plants and liquid cooling systems. • Utilize CFD analysis and CAD/BIM tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP to develop and review design deliverables. • Ensure flawless project delivery for facilities supporting 20MW+ IT loads across mission-critical infrastructure. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 8+ years of total experience, including at least 6+ years dedicated to data center mechanical design. • Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (M.Tech in HVAC or Thermal preferred). • Hands-on technical expertise with chilled water plants, liquid cooling architectures, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), AutoCAD, Revit, and HAP. • Proven track record in Tier III/IV data center project delivery with 20MW+ IT load capacity.
