Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview Bonzzu is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to join a top-tier US client’s engineering team and help build mission-critical platforms that power products and services at scale. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs - Build a unified and scalable framework for services - Design robust RESTful APIs and gRPC services - Write clean, maintainable code and automated tests - Optimize distributed systems in cloud environments - Ensure security best practices and improve performance, reliability, and scalability • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 8+ years developing secure, high-performance web applications - Strong Computer Science fundamentals, algorithms, and system design - Hands-on experience with Java - Practical concurrency experience (thread safety, race conditions, deadlocks) - Experience with RESTful APIs and gRPC services - Experience with datastores: PostgreSQL and Cassandra - Experience with caching and messaging: Redis and Kafka - Experience with AWS (specifically S3) and containerized services - Experience with Git and modern version control practices - Growth mindset and ability to propose innovative solutions • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Employment Model: Fully remote - Location eligibility: Mexico • Compensation & Benefits - Public holidays paid + 10 vacation days per year - Top-tier work laptop provided - Long-term technical challenges - Opportunity to work directly with a top-tier US client • Application Instructions - Interested candidates should apply by sending their resume via the designated contact channel.
