• Role & Company / Project Overview Softenger Malaysia is hiring a DBA Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role focuses on managing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise database systems and cloud database environments. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Perform administration, maintenance, and performance tuning for relational database management systems. - Implement and manage database backup, recovery, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures. - Execute database patching, version upgrades, data migrations, and database security hardening. - Provide Microsoft Azure database support and manage Azure cloud resources. - Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues using Azure Monitoring and native database tools. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Minimum 5+ years of relevant database administration experience. - Only Local Malaysian candidates are eligible to apply. - Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server & PostgreSQL. - In-depth knowledge of Database Administration & Performance Tuning. - Demonstrated experience with Backup, Recovery, High Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR). - Proven experience in Database Patching, Migration & Security. - Experience in Microsoft Azure Database Support. - Proficiency in Azure Monitoring & Troubleshooting. - Cloud skills: Microsoft Azure (VM, SQL Database, Backup, Monitoring / Log Analytics). - Cloud architecture, networking & security knowledge. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & automation skills are an advantage. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. - Onsite/office role; strictly open to local Malaysian nationals only. • Application Instructions - Interested candidates can share their updated resume via email or WhatsApp.
