Role & Company / Project Overview: Urgent opening for an experienced ServiceNow SAM Functional Consultant with strong expertise in Software Asset Management (SAM), software licensing, ELP creation, publisher management, compliance, and optimization. This is a contractual engagement for a duration of 3 to 6 months. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Manage software licensing, publisher onboarding, renewals, true-ups, and compliance analysis. • Create, maintain, and validate Effective License Positions (ELPs). • Work with major publishers such as Microsoft, Adobe, VMware, IBM, and similar vendors. • Reconcile entitlements, deployments, usage, purchase records, and license metrics. • Support publisher audits, licensing reviews, renewals, and compliance assessments. • Work with ServiceNow SAM Pro at a functional level. • Manage software models, entitlements, publisher data, installations, and usage. • Work with SCCM, JAMF, Flexera, or similar SAM/ITAM tools. • Analyze software usage and identify optimization and reclamation opportunities. • Maintain data integrity across SAM Pro, CMDB, and Software Catalog. • Collaborate with IT, Procurement, Cybersecurity, and Finance teams. • Prepare licensing reports, ELP analyses, documentation, and process improvements. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 3 to 8 years of experience in SAM / Software Licensing / ITAM. • Hands-on experience with ELP creation and maintenance. • Strong experience with major software publishers. • Experience in license reconciliation and compliance analysis. • Functional experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro. • Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills. • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; MBA Preferred. • Good to Have: IAITAM CSAM or SAM-related certification; CMDB / Asset Inventory experience; Cloud/SaaS and hybrid infrastructure knowledge; SCCM / Flexera / JAMF experience; License reconciliation workpapers and licensing reports; Cyber risk and compliance awareness. • Note: ServiceNow development or implementation experience is not required. The role is primarily focused on SAM Pro functional expertise, software licensing, ELPs, publisher management, audits, and optimization. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Kolkata, West Bengal, India. • Work Model: Hybrid – 2 Days from Office. • Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST. • Contract Duration: 3–6 Months. • Employment Type: Contract.
