Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview: Urgent hiring in the manufacturing industry for an experienced NPI Engineer with a strong background in Cable Assembly Manufacturing. The role involves managing New Product Introduction (NPI) activities end-to-end, from product development and prototype trials to process validation and successful transition to mass production. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: - Handle end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, from initial feasibility assessment to mass production. - Review product drawings, customer specifications, and detailed technical requirements. - Coordinate prototype development, sample builds, pilot runs, and trial production. - Develop and validate manufacturing processes, process flows, tooling, and machine requirements. - Work directly on cable assembly and wire harness product development. - Coordinate product testing, validation, and customer approvals. - Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), process flow charts, FMEA, control plans, and comprehensive NPI documentation. - Coordinate cross-functionally with Design, R&D, Production, Quality, and Procurement teams. - Drive continuous process improvements, cost optimization, and overall manufacturing efficiency. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: - Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Related Engineering disciplines. - Experience: 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in NPI / New Product Development / Process Engineering. - Strong hands-on experience in Cable Manufacturing / Cable Assembly / Wire Harness Manufacturing. - Solid understanding of cable construction, manufacturing processes, and product testing. - Practical experience in prototype development, trial production, and process validation. - Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and quality documentation is an added advantage. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: - Location: Kochi, Kerala, India. - Standard manufacturing facility operating hours. • Compensation & Benefits: - CTC: ₹5,00,000 to ₹10,00,000 per annum (₹5 - 10 LPA). • Application Instructions: - Candidates with the required experience can share their updated CV to apply.
