Job description

Role & Company / Project Overview: A surgical company is hiring a qualified and experienced Sterilization / EtO Plant Operator based in Karachi. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Machine Operations: Safely operate Ethylene Oxide (EtO) sterilization machines and chambers (2.5, 7, and 12 CBM) in strict accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Parameter Control: Precisely maintain and control machine chamber temperature (53±2°C), vaporizer temperature (70±3°C), and initial vacuum (-40 KPA). • Gas & Aeration: Thoroughly monitor gas injection at 48 KPA, manage 6-hour holding time, and oversee 3-step degassing vacuum (-60 KPA). • QA/QC & Unloading: Correctly position Chemical and Biological indicators inside the machine; ensure timely unloading to prevent sensitive PVC components from damage. • Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete records of machine process charts, batch labels, and cycle deviation logs. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 2 to 3 years of validated/proven experience operating medical device EtO sterilizer machines. • Complete understanding and adherence to OSHA regulations, PPE protocols, gas monitoring, and leak emergency protocols. • Ability to support plant and machine validation cycles conducted every 6 to 12 months.
