### Role & Company / Project Overview Ven India is hiring a Mechanical Engineer for steel plant expansion, modernization, and equipment installation projects in Odisha (including Jharsuguda). ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Execute mechanical project activities for steel plant expansion, modernization, and equipment installation. • Prepare project schedules, resource plans, and closely monitor project progress. • Coordinate with civil, electrical, instrumentation, and production teams for seamless project execution. • Supervise erection, commissioning, and troubleshooting of plant equipment. • Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, plant layouts, and technical specifications. • Monitor contractor activities and ensure strict adherence to project timelines and safety standards. • Conduct site inspections and quality checks during fabrication and installation. • Manage procurement activities, including technical evaluation of mechanical equipment. • Prepare project reports, progress updates, and engineering documentation. • Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. • 5–8 years of relevant mechanical project experience in steel plants or heavy industrial equipment. • Preference will be given to immediate joiners. • Solid understanding of erection, commissioning, equipment installation, P&IDs, and mechanical specifications. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Work Setup: On-site plant location • Location: Odisha (Jharsuguda), India ### Compensation & Benefits • Not specified ### Application Instructions • Interested candidates should share their updated CV via email or get in touch with HR via telephone.
