Role & Company / Project Overview: We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer with strong Test Automation experience to work on trading platforms / financial systems on a W2 employment basis. This role focuses specifically on functional test automation using Java and Playwright for a long-term opportunity. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Develop and execute UI and API test automation using Playwright with Java • Conduct end-to-end functional test automation across trading and financial systems • Implement and maintain CI/CD integration with Jenkins • Perform test management, execution, and tracking using Xray and Jira • Work independently to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex test and system issues • Note: This role focuses on functional test automation; no performance testing or JVM / GC tuning is required Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Experience: 6+ years required, targeting 9+ years • Strong hands-on Java development experience • Proficiency in Playwright with Java for UI & API test automation • Proven experience in end-to-end functional test automation • Solid experience with Jenkins CI/CD integration and AWS / Cloud environments • Experience with Xray / Jira Test Management • Strong SDLC, testing, and quality engineering knowledge • Domain Experience: Financial Services / Trading Systems, Order Management Systems (OMS), and trading platform testing Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Jersey City, NJ • Candidates must be local to Jersey City, NJ and available to come onsite for the interview Application Instructions: Interested local candidates please submit your updated resume for consideration.
