Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview: Equus Power is hiring a Documentation Engineer – Rolling Stock within the Engineering / Project Management Office (PMO) department on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Prepare, review, and manage technical documents including System Description Documents, Test & Commissioning Protocols, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals, and Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPCs). • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, software, and subsystem engineering teams to develop accurate technical documentation. • Manage document baselines, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), and as-built documentation. • Control customer and supplier submissions, transmittals, reviews, and approvals through PDM/PLM/EDMS systems. • Ensure documentation aligns with railway safety standards, Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI) requirements, and client specifications. • Support technical, quality, safety, and regulatory audits. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field. • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of relevant experience. • Knowledge of rolling stock and rail vehicle subsystems including Bogies, Traction, Braking, HVAC, Pneumatics, Train Control Systems, etc. • Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD / SolidWorks / CATIA) and PDM/PLM tools such as Teamcenter, Windchill, or ENOVIA. • Experience with EDMS platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or Meridian. • Strong documentation, configuration management, and revision-control skills. • Excellent attention to detail and technical communication skills. • Preferred Experience: Experience in Railways, Rolling Stock, Transit, Aerospace, or Heavy Engineering industries is highly preferred. Direct experience with rolling stock design, manufacturing, or depot maintenance documentation is an added advantage. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Full-time employment opportunity.
