Job description
Role & Company / Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter / BillingCenter Senior Developer with strong technical expertise in Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Gosu, Java, and Integrations for a 12-13 months contract engagement. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design, develop, and support Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter applications. • Develop and maintain Guidewire integrations and batch processes. • Troubleshoot production issues and perform comprehensive root cause analysis. • Create and execute unit test cases using GUnit. • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and code reviews. • Collaborate closely with business, QA, and support teams. • Support application deployments, releases, and ongoing application monitoring. • Mentor team members and contribute thoroughly to technical documentation. • Provide production support and incident management. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and/or BillingCenter. • 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development. • Strong development experience with Gosu and GUnit. • Deep expertise in Guidewire Integrations, including Messaging Framework, REST APIs, Edge APIs, Integration Gateway, Integration View, and Batch Processing. • Experience with Guidewire Rating and InsuranceSuite. • Strong knowledge of Spring, Spring Batch, Microservices, and REST APIs. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure). • Preferred / Mandatory Certifications & Skills: Guidewire InsuranceSuite / BillingCenter Certification (Mandatory), AWS Certification. • Preferred Monitoring & Process Skills: Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace; Agile, Scrum, Kanban; Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain experience. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States. • Work Mode: Hybrid / Onsite. • Contract Duration: 12-13 Months Contract (C2C / W2).
