Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview CalibreQA is hiring a PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) based in Gurgaon in a hybrid working arrangement. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across environments. - Perform continuous database monitoring, troubleshooting, and proactive performance tuning. - Optimize SQL queries, indexes, schemas, and execution plans. - Manage database backup, recovery, Point-In-Time Recovery (PITR), and disaster recovery procedures. - Configure and manage Streaming and Logical Replication. - Handle production incidents, Run-The-Business (RTB), and Build-The-Business (BTB) activities. - Manage database security, access controls, permissions, and compliance. - Support database migrations, major/minor upgrades, and routine patching. - Automate DBA operational activities using scripting and automation tools. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA. - Strong expertise in SQL, indexing, query optimization, VACUUM, and ANALYZE operations. - Solid hands-on background in backup, recovery, and replication strategies. - In-depth knowledge of High Availability (HA) architectures and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning. - Good understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and environments. - Practical experience with Bash or Python scripting and automation tools. - Exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Notice Period: Immediate joiners or candidates available within 1 week. - Good to Have: MongoDB administration and performance tuning; knowledge of Oracle or MySQL; experience with Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India. - Work Mode: Hybrid. • Application Instructions Eligible candidates with matching mandatory skill sets are invited to share their updated resumes directly with the HR team.
