Role & Company / Project Overview: BA Personnel Recruitment Specialists is hiring for the position of Manager: Facilities, Utilities & Green Operations in Gauteng. The role is focused on managing and optimising facilities, utilities, and infrastructure operations while actively driving cost efficiency, sustainability initiatives, and environmental performance. The successful incumbent will ensure safe, compliant, functional, and efficient facilities that support overall organisational objectives. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead and manage facilities, utilities, and infrastructure operations across the organisation. • Drive energy and water efficiency as well as key sustainability initiatives. • Oversee maintenance, repairs, and facility projects. • Manage external service providers and contractors, ensuring strict SLA compliance. • Control budgets, monitor utility consumption, and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities. • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. • Provide comprehensive reporting on facilities performance, expenditure, and sustainability initiatives. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Relevant tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Property Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (essential). • 7+ years of relevant experience. • Proven management and leadership experience. • Strong knowledge of facilities operations, utilities management, and maintenance environments. • Practical experience in energy, water, metering, and utility recoveries. • Demonstrated supplier and contractor management experience. • Experience in sustainability, ESG, or environmental initiatives (advantageous). • Additional qualifications in Energy Management, Green Building, or Project Management (advantageous).
