Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview We are looking for detail-oriented professionals with experience in US Mortgage Underwriting and Quality Control to ensure loan files meet underwriting, investor, and regulatory guidelines as a Mortgage QC Underwriter – US Mortgage based in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Perform pre-funded and post-funded quality checks on mortgage loan files. - Review income, employment, credit, property appraisal, DTI, and LTV. - Validate loan decisions against FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and applicable investor guidelines. - Verify supporting documents, down payment sources, reserves, property title, and legal documentation. - Identify underwriting errors, documentation gaps, and potential credit risks. - Ensure compliance with mortgage insurance (MI) requirements and underwriting standards. - Meet quality targets, turnaround times, and underwriting deadlines. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Graduate in any discipline. - Minimum 2 years (24 months) of Conventional/FHA mortgage underwriting or QA/QC experience. - Knowledge of the complete US mortgage loan cycle. - Strong understanding of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector (LP). - Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, and mortgage insurance guidelines is preferred. - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat - Shift: Night Shift (willingness to work night shifts required) • Application Instructions - Share your updated CV via email.
