• Role & Company / Project Overview QatarJobs.ai is hiring for a Senior VMware Technical Engineer (Virtualization / Hyperconverged Infrastructure / Data Center Operations) at a Senior / Lead Technical Engineer level. The role sits within the Infrastructure / Cloud & Data Center Services Department and reports to the Infrastructure Manager / Technical Lead. The position focuses on virtualization, hyperconverged infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise data center operations. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, deploy, administer, and support VMware environments. - Manage HCI platforms such as Dell VxRail, Nutanix, and VMware vSAN. - Handle upgrades, patching, migrations, and cluster expansion. - Perform advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. - Maintain security hardening, compliance, and documentation. - Provide L3 escalation support and mentor junior engineers. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 7+ years of overall infrastructure engineering experience, including at least 5+ years of hands-on VMware infrastructure experience. - Strong hands-on knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion. - Expertise in VMware vSAN, Dell VxRail, and Nutanix HCI (AOS, AHV, Prism). - Proficiency in Windows & Linux administration. - In-depth experience with Backup & DR tools. - Automation scripting using PowerCLI and PowerShell. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering. - VMware VCP-DCV certification preferred. - Dell Technologies VxRail / HCI certification preferred. - Nutanix NCP-MCI preferred. - ITIL Foundation or experience is an advantage. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Full-Time employment. - Location: As per business requirement / customer site in Qatar. • Application Instructions - Apply online through the QatarJobs.ai website or connect via WhatsApp for submissions.
