### Role & Company / Project Overview An established organization in the transport and logistics industry is seeking an experienced professional for the position of Operation In-Charge based in Delhi. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Plan transportation activities to ensure goods are delivered and picked up on time, creating daily or weekly schedules for deliveries and vehicle usage • Ensure the right number of vehicles are available to meet the workload, conduct commercial negotiations with transportation vendors, and manage the fleet • Coordinate with transport providers and companies to arrange schedules, manage any delays, and negotiate for competitive rates and terms • Manage dispatch and delivery operations, overseeing loading and dispatch to ensure adherence to company and customer standards • Track deliveries to guarantee timely completion as promised, keeping accurate records of dispatch schedules and delivery timelines • Oversee loading and paperwork by guiding and supporting the loading crew to complete work efficiently; accurately prepare loading receipts (LRs) with complete goods and consignee details • Handle operational issues and problem-solving, addressing delays, accidents, or disruptions quickly with established contingency plans for vehicle breakdowns or adverse weather conditions • Coordinate cross-departmentally to ensure smooth resolution of unexpected operational situations • Ensure statutory compliance and safety regulation adherence across all transportation activities, maintaining accurate documentation of deliveries, vehicle usage, and receipts • Process transport-related invoices, verifying bills for accuracy against company agreements, and ensuring prompt payment processing ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Minimum 8+ years of dedicated operational experience in the transport/logistics industry • Strong background in fleet operations, vendor management, and dispatch oversight • Proven problem-solving capabilities, commercial negotiation expertise, and knowledge of transportation documentation (e.g., LRs) ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: Delhi, India • Work Setup: Onsite ### Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary • Growth opportunities • Dynamic and supportive work environment ### Application Instructions • Interested applicants should send their updated CV to the recruitment team.
