Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview We are hiring a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Specialist for a W2 Contract-to-Hire position (6+ months duration). We are seeking a professional with robust experience in Cybersecurity GRC, NERC, SOX, and IT compliance, ideally within the energy/utilities domain. The interview process will be conducted via virtual interview. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Conduct risk assessments, control testing, audit remediation, and compliance reporting. - Lead and support strong documentation, audit participation, evidence gathering, and defending compliance positions. - Manage KPI reporting and utilize MS Office 365 for reporting and operational tracking. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - 3+ years of experience in GRC, Cybersecurity Compliance, IT Audit, or Information Security. - Direct hands-on GRC, NERC, and SOX experience with an energy provider. - Demonstrated experience with KPI reporting and MS Office 365. - Strong expertise in documentation, participating in audits, evidence gathering, and defending compliance positions. - Strong background in risk assessments, control testing, audit remediation, and compliance reporting. - Preferred: NERC CIP, FERC, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, CIS, as well as renewable energy, utilities, or critical infrastructure domain experience. - Eligibility/Visa: USC / GC Only. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Chicago, IL 60606. - Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite per week (Only local candidates will be considered). - Engagement Type: W2 Contract-to-Hire (6+ Months). • Application Instructions - Submit your resume directly to the recruitment team for consideration.
