Job description
• Role & Company / Project Overview Triple Infotech is seeking a Mechanical Application Engineer with hands-on knowledge of 3D scanning, 3D scanners, and inspection. The ideal candidate should have a mechanical engineering background and be comfortable working with handheld and other industrial 3D scanning systems. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Operate and demonstrate 3D scanners, including handheld and industrial scanning systems. - Perform 3D scanning, data acquisition, and inspection of mechanical components. - Support customers with scanner demonstrations, application trials, and technical solutions. - Conduct 3D inspection, dimensional inspection, and CAD comparison. - Assist in reverse engineering and 3D modelling applications. - Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable scanning and inspection solutions. - Provide technical support and training to customers. - Prepare scanning/inspection reports and technical documentation. - Travel to customer locations for demonstrations, application studies, and project support when required. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Education: BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Experience: 1 to 5 years (1+ years of experience in mechanical applications, 3D scanning, inspection, metrology, or a related field). - Good knowledge of 3D scanning technology and 3D scanners. - Hands-on experience with handheld 3D scanners and preferably other industrial scanning systems. - Knowledge of 3D inspection, dimensional measurement, and CAD comparison. - Basic understanding of GD&T and mechanical drawings. - Knowledge of CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar is an advantage. - Good communication and customer-handling skills. - Willingness to travel for customer demonstrations and application support. - Immediate joiners are preferred. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Job Type: Full-Time - Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India - Joining: Immediate Joiner Preferred • Compensation & Benefits - Opportunity to work with advanced 3D scanning and metrology technologies. - Hands-on exposure to industrial applications across multiple manufacturing sectors. - Learning and career growth opportunities in 3D scanning, inspection, reverse engineering, and metrology. • Application Instructions - Interested candidates can share their CV with the recruitment contact.
