Role & Company / Project Overview: We are hiring a Senior Python Software Engineer with strong SQL, data pipeline, and Capital Markets/Treasury domain experience to help design, modernize, and automate scalable platforms and analytics solutions. This is a contract role requiring face-to-face interviews, open to local candidates only. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Design, build, test, deploy, and support production-grade Python/SQL solutions • Architect scalable data pipelines, APIs, automation frameworks, and dashboards • Build web apps/workflow tools using Dash/Flask, React, Vue, Angular, or similar • Work with AWS services such as ECS, EC2, Lambda, Step Functions, VPC, Security Groups • Own GitLab CI/CD pipelines, testing, code review, and deployment automation • Partner with Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk, Finance, and Technology teams • Prototype and implement AI/Agentic AI concepts — RAG, embeddings, agent workflows, MCP patterns Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 8+ years Python engineering experience • 8+ years SQL, relational modeling, query optimization, data pipelines • Capital Markets/Treasury domain experience — hedges, securities, derivatives, rates, etc. • Strong API, automation, and data processing background • AWS, GitLab/CI-CD, and modern software delivery experience • Strong Excel VBA skills and ability to modernize spreadsheet-based processes • Excellent communication and ability to translate business needs into technical designs • Nice-to-have: AI agent development, prompt engineering, RAG, multimodal embeddings, MCP • Nice-to-have: Jira API/data model experience • Nice-to-have: Front-end experience with Dash/Flask, React, Vue, or Angular Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Charlotte, NC (Local Only) • Work model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week • Seniority Level: Senior (8–10 years) • Employment Type: Contract • Interview Process: Face-to-face required Compensation & Benefits: • Not specified Application Instructions: • Submit resume via email or DM to apply.
