### Role & Company / Project Overview We are immediately hiring an experienced Senior Node.js / JavaScript / TypeScript Engineer in Charlotte, NC. This position is strictly W2 ONLY (No C2C / No 1099). We are looking for strong hands-on development profiles focused on API platform engineering, microservices, and backend performance. Front-end-only JavaScript profiles are not suitable for this role. ### Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties • Architect, engineer, and maintain scalable API platforms and microservices. • Build robust backend services using Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript. • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and deploy on AWS. • Establish automated testing suites and CI/CD workflows using GitLab CI/CD, Jest, Mocha, and Chai. • Write Python or shell scripts for operational automation. • Ensure high levels of API security, performance, and overall system reliability. ### Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience • Experience: 12 Years required (13+ Years Preferred). • Deep expertise in Node.js, JavaScript & TypeScript. • Extensive experience building REST APIs & Microservices. • Proven track record in API Platform Engineering. • Hands-on AWS & Terraform skills. • Experience with GitLab CI/CD. • Testing frameworks expertise: Jest / Mocha / Chai. • Scripting skills in Python or Shell. • Comprehensive understanding of API Security, Performance & Reliability. • Note: Front-end-only JavaScript profiles are not suitable for this role. ### Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details • Location: 601 S.
