• Role & Company / Project Overview Takora Human Capital is recruiting on behalf of their client for an experienced Senior Professional Structural Engineer / Technologist to join their Cape Town team in Western Cape. This is an exciting full-time consulting engineering opportunity for a senior structural professional who is confident managing projects from inception through to completion, leading technical teams, and delivering high-quality structural engineering solutions. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Manage engineering and building projects from inception through to completion. - Lead and guide technical project teams while maintaining strong project ownership and accountability. - Handle comprehensive planning, structural design, and contract administration. - Mentor and develop technical staff. - Engage effectively with clients and contribute commercially with business development capability. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. - Professional Registration: ECSA registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng). - Experience: Minimum 10 years’ verifiable post-registration experience. - Structural Project Experience (highly advantageous): - Bulk water reservoirs - Water treatment works - Stormwater management infrastructure - Water-retaining structures - Reinforced concrete framed structures - Steel framed structures - Building and engineering projects - Software & Technical Skills: - Experience with Master Series or Prokon - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project - AutoCAD - Revit (advantageous) - BIM / ACC Docs & ACC Build (advantageous) - Leadership & Personal Attributes: - Technically strong, client-focused, and an effective communicator - Capable of working independently - Strong project ownership and accountability - Commercial awareness and business development acumen • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Full-time consulting engineering role based in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. • Compensation & Benefits - Salary: Market Related - Benefits included as per company standards • Application Instructions Interested candidates should submit their CV ensuring it clearly reflects ECSA registration, post-registration experience, and structural project experience.
