Role & Company / Project Overview: Business Intelli Solutions Inc. is hiring a Windows Server Administrator for a dedicated assignment: Proof of Concept (PoC) – Qualys Patch Management in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Prepare Windows servers and validate patching prerequisites. • Execute and validate patching and vulnerability-remediation test cases. • Verify server health, services, application dependencies, event logs, and system availability before and after patching. • Troubleshoot issues and document test results, risks, and rollback requirements. • Coordinate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders. • Contribute findings and recommendations to the PoC report. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows Server administration in an enterprise environment. • Strong experience in Microsoft server patching using WSUS or SCCM/MECM. • In-depth troubleshooting skills for Windows services, event logs, registry settings, and failed patch installations. • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for validation, troubleshooting, and evidence collection. • Practical experience in vulnerability remediation and Windows security configuration. • Knowledge of patch prerequisites, maintenance windows, restart requirements, and recovery planning. • Competence in server health validation, test documentation, and risk reporting. • Preferred skills: Exposure to Qualys VMDR or Qualys Patch Management; patch testing, server backup, rollback, and recovery validation; experience with hybrid or cloud-connected Windows Server environments.
