Role & Company / Project Overview: Himed-Egypt is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function, financial reporting, government collections, costing, and financial control activities. The purpose of the role is to manage accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain effective financial controls, and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations, while managing government collections from UPA and government entities and providing accurate financial information. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Manage and supervise daily accounting operations, including GL, AR & AP. • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. • Prepare and issue monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements. • Lead the monthly and annual financial closing processes. • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of account balances. • Manage and follow up on collections from UPA, government entities, hospitals, and ministries. • Monitor the collection cycle: Delivery → Invoicing → Approval → Payment. • Monitor receivables, Aging & Overdue, and support reducing DSO. • Manage banking operations, bank relationships, and credit facilities. • Prepare Collection Forecast and Cash Flow Forecast. • Supervise Product & Services Costing and conduct variance analysis. • Ensure effective internal controls, segregation of duties, and cash and inventory counting procedures. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and government requirements. • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and the external accountant. • Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Production, Maintenance, and Collection teams to ensure accurate financial information and effective cash flow management. • Lead the accounting team, assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and develop team capabilities. • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support senior management decision-making. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Commerce; CMA / CPA is preferred. • 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, import, and manufacturing companies. • At least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial position. • Strong knowledge of Costing, preferably in manufacturing or trading environments. • Good knowledge of local and international accounting and tax standards. • Strong experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and management reports. • Experience with government collections and UPA is highly preferred. • Good knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel. • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
