Role & Company / Project Overview: Makeen Technologies is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for an industrial automation project based in Boston, MA. This is a W-2 Contract role for approximately 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties: • Lead controls engineering and industrial automation tasks on manufacturing equipment. • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs across multiple platforms. • Develop and integrate HMI and SCADA systems. • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). • Execute system commissioning, I/O checkout, and comprehensive electrical troubleshooting. • Collaborate with project engineering teams to ensure optimal automated equipment performance. Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience: • 7+ years of hands-on controls engineering and industrial automation experience. • Hands-on expertise with PLCs including Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Beckhoff. • Demonstrated proficiency with HMI/SCADA systems. • Strong background in FAT/SAT procedures, system commissioning, I/O checkout, and electrical troubleshooting on manufacturing machinery. • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details: • Location: Boston, MA. • Onsite: 5 days per week. • Travel: Travel required. Compensation & Benefits: • W-2 Contract structure (~6 months duration with possible extension).
