• Role & Company / Project Overview Wavestone Germany AG is seeking a Professional Data Scientist (m/w/d) - Data & Platform Engineering / Azure / Snowflake for a long-term customer project in the real estate domain in Switzerland. Wavestone is a leading consultancy for strategic transformations, offering comprehensive opportunities for partner companies and freelancers within client projects. • Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties - Design, further develop, implement, test, and document data products in the real estate domain, clarifying technical and functional requirements together with business stakeholders. - Develop data pipelines with Snowflake as the backend. - Operate and support existing ETL processes. - Integrate peripheral systems such as REST APIs, Kafka, and SAP to enable existing data analyses and support new analytical capabilities. - Operate and expand the analytical corporate platform on MS Azure. - Ensure active knowledge transfer within the project team. • Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience - Mandatory Requirements: * Completed university degree in Computer Science (Informatik) or equivalent vocational training/education. * Structured, solution-oriented approach with high social competence, strong analytical/conceptual mindset, and strong communication skills. * Proven working experience in an agile environment (e.g., Scrum or SAFe). * Professional fluency in German (spoken and written) along with good English language skills or proficiency in another national language of Switzerland. * At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Data Modelling. * Experience in AI-based software development. * Proven knowledge of ETL processes and infrastructure, such as Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and Snowflake, along with modern CI/CD processes. * Productive experience with SQL and at least one programming language. * Working knowledge of at least one cloud computing platform. * Knowledge in cloud-based identity and access management (IAM). - Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications: * Python as the preferred programming language. * Microsoft Azure as the preferred cloud platform. * Microsoft Entra ID as the preferred solution for cloud identity and access management. • Working Hours, Shifts & Location Details - Location: Bern Wankdorf, Switzerland (Work Smart concept with hybrid remote share; presence days per week by mutual agreement). - Duration: 01.11.2026 – 30.04.2027 with extension option. - Workload / Pensum: 100%. • Compensation & Benefits - Long-term engagement within an innovative analytical platform environment. • Application Instructions - Apply via the official application portal.
